At Black Lotus Braid Lounge, we offer hair for select styles for your convenience. Please note the following hair fees:
$10/pack – Box Braids, Cornrow Braids, and Knotless Braids or Individual Braids
$12/pack – Twist Styles (Mini Twists, Kinky Twists)- Human Hair Options Available for Twists
$18/pack – French Curl
This ensures we have the necessary hair available for your service.
Crochet & Faux Locs: Clients must provide their own hair for crochet and faux loc styles. However, if you prefer human hair faux locs, you may order through Black Lotus Braid Lounge. Please contact us in advance to confirm current inventory and allow time for hair orders to arrive if needed.
Human Hair Availability: We also offer premium to regular-grade human hair ranging from 10A to 12A grade. If you are interested, please reach out to discuss availability and ordering timelines.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own hair extensions. We also have a variety of high-quality hair extensions available for purchase at the salon. We do offer bulk hair for boho styles. You must purchase your hair separately before the appointment via our website or in person in the store. Please be sure we have the length in stock prior to booking your appointment. Sometimes we may have to order the length you need and therefore the shipping time will need to be considered before booking your appointment. We will not cut the hair off the weft for you, so we suggest purchasing bulk human hair which is meant for braiding. Black Lotus Braid Lounge offers weft options as well as bulk hair options. To prepare for your braiding appointment, please detangle your hair. Consider booking a shampoo or braid take down service with us to ease your preparation. Loyalty Members enjoy a complimentary shampoo service with most braid and twist installs. Note: Severely matted hair may incur an additional charge. All services at our Lawrenceville Town Center location come with complimentary shampo service.
Braiding times vary based on the style, length, size, and overall customization of your service. Most appointments can range anywhere from a few hours to a full day for more detailed or longer styles.
Because every client’s hair density, desired size, and add-ons are different, exact timing may vary. We focus on clean parts, healthy tension, and a polished finish — which means we prioritize quality and care over rushing the process.
When booking, you’ll see estimated time ranges for each service. If you’re on a schedule or need guidance, we’re always happy to recommend a style that fits your timeframe. Do not book appointments on days that you have a tight schedule or need to attend a function by a certain time.
We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. A fee is applied for late cancellations or no-shows. We charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the service fee if you do not cancel your appointment within 48 hours. Failure to cancel will result in a no-show fee, which is the forfeiture of your deposit. No exceptions. Late fee is $15, and is applicable if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment.
Keep your scalp moisturized, avoid excessive tension on your braids, and wrap your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet, to reduce frizz. Typically, braids can be kept in for 6-8 weeks. It's important to not exceed this duration to maintain healthy hair and scalp. Black Lotus Braid Lounge offers Braid Take Down Service (https://blacklotusbraidlounge.glossgenius.com/services)for all our clients who have booked a braid service with us. If your braids are older than 8 weeks, we may elect to not provide the take down service.
Yes, you can wash your hair while it is braided. Use a diluted shampoo and focus on cleansing your scalp. We offer exclusive discounts and offers to our Lotus Members, including private shopping events on products, birthday offers, and even private appointments.
Payment Information
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Appointments without a same-day deposit may be automatically cancelled.

• Cash (exact cash encouraged)
Processing Fees (both locations):
• Zelle payments: 1% fee
• Credit/Debit, Tap, Apple Pay & Google Pay: 3% fee
When sending a Zelle payment, please include the client’s name exactly as it appears on the appointment so we can properly apply your payment.
To keep checkout smooth and accurate, we encourage clients to come prepared with their preferred payment method at the time of service.
