Salon Policy

Rules for Black Lotus Braid Lounge

1. All Sales Are Final 

Refund & Deposit Policy

At Black Lotus Braid Lounge, we value your time and ours. Please note that refunds are not issued once a service has been completed.

All appointment deposits are non-refundable and will be forfeited if:

  • You do not show up for your appointment (“no show”).

  • You arrive after the grace period allowed.

  • You do not accurately represent your natural hair (through required photos) or fail to follow salon policies provided before your appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation — these policies help us provide every guest with a smooth and timely salon experience

2. Conduct 

Salon Conduct Policy

To ensure a peaceful and professional environment for all guests, Black Lotus Braid Lounge maintains a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior.

Please note:

  • No violence, foul language, or confrontations are permitted in the salon.

  • Arriving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited and will result in appointment cancellation without refund.

We appreciate your respect for our space, team, and other clients.

3. Service Refusal

Right to Refuse Service

At Black Lotus Braid Lounge, the health of your natural hair is our top priority. If a client’s hair is determined to be too weak or fragile for the desired style, our stylists reserve the right to refuse or modify the service in the best interest of the client’s hair.

Clients may select an alternative style; however, no refunds will be issued.

Black Lotus Braid Lounge and its employees reserve the right to refuse service to any client at our discretion to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all.

4. Hair Length Requirement 

Hair Length Requirement

Clients must have a minimum of 4 inches of hair all around the head to be eligible for braid or twist services.

This guideline is in place to protect your natural hair from excessive tension and to help prevent breakage or damage.

5. No Food or Drink

Please eat before your appointment , no food is allowed in the salon. Kids are allowed to bring light snacks.

6. No Guests 

There is no space for visitors; clients cannot bring guests. If you require an escort for health reasons, the guest is welcome to sit in the designated waiting area.

7. Age Restriction 

We do not service individuals who are younger than 8 years of age.  Parents may not leave minors unattended. 

8. Cashless Transactions 

All sales are final and completed through the app. No cash is accepted at the time of service. Braiders and employees do not handle cash. You are welcome to send Zelle or Cash App using QR code in the salon. 

9. Store Purchases

Store purchases can be made using the POS system, but only cards are accepted, or wallet pay is accepted. We do not accept cash.

10. Cash Tips

Cash tips should be placed in an envelope, labeled with the braider’s name, and placed in the glass bowl provided. Tips are split with the salon, salon assistants, and stylists.

11. Appointment Intake Forms 

    All clients must complete the appointment intake forms prior to arriving for their appointment. This form allows us to understand your current hair state and information regarding allergies.

12. **No Soliciting** 

 Soliciting is strictly prohibited. Employees and service providers will be terminated if found attempting or intending to solicit Black Lotus customers. In-turn Black Lotus clients are not permitted to request independent services from our stylists/employees. Solicitors are not allowed to enter the salon with the intent to sell a product to the salon. 

13. Non-Compete Guidelines

    All stylists, employees, and service providers must adhere to non-compete guidelines.

14. No Home or Side Appointments

Clients are not permitted to ask braiders for home or side appointments. Violations will result in removal from membership and a salon booking ban at all locations.
